Qualifications & Experience

Sheridan is a registered Psychologist who has a BPsych (Hons), MBA and Grad Dip in Applied Psychology. She has many years experience working with adults with anxiety/depression, adjusting to stressors of life whether it be relationships, work, challenging family, growing older and/or changing circumstances. She has a particular interest in giving support, coping strategies to people who are going through changes and sees her role as one of empowerment.

  • Relationship issues – my focus is always to keep the relationship together if possible however, in some cases, this is not achievable. I  then to look towards healthy co-parenting and separation and using mediation skills to plan/move forward for the couple
  • Pain management – assisting in finding different ways to cope with pain
  • DBT, CBT, Solution focused and Schema therapy – I see my role is to assist you in bringing my education and experience in working with you to find a different/better way
  • Relationship counselling – improving communication, reviewing values, re-connecting, finding a different way to be together with life changes eg children, ageing, family pressures.
  • Working with children – child assessment encompassing cognitive, behavioural and emotional functioning. Working with a child, offering a behaviour management program that aims to reduce children’s difficulties at home and in school.

Sebastian Salicru

Qualifications & Experience

Sebastian is a registered Psychologist under Medicare and private health funds who holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology), a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychology, a Master of Science in Creativity and Change Leadership, and Master of Management Research. He is also a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coach Federation (ICF), with over 800 paid hours of professional coaching documented in his coaching logbook of the (ICF).

Sebastian has experience working with a variety of client groups, including adults and specialising in Men’s issues; Self-esteem; Career Counselling; Couples & Family Therapy.

He uses a wide range of evidence-based methods, such as: Positive Psychology and Strength-based approaches; Psychosocial Development; Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT); Behaviour Therapy: Changing Narratives; Emotional Intelligence and Growth; Motivational Interviewing; Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT); Social Skills Training (SST), Psychosocial Capital (HERO: Hope, Efficacy, Resilience, and Optimism), and Mindfulness approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Aimee McCarthy

Provisional Psychologist

Aimee is a registered Provisional Psychologist with a B Psychology. Aimee strives to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable to explore the concerns and difficulties they face. She is passionate about collaborating with her clients to achieve emotional goals, develop their strengths, and bring about meaningful change in their lives.

Aimee has previously supported young people with complex trauma presentations, within an Out-of-home-care setting. She has also worked closely with disability presentations providing psychology therapy through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Aimee has provided treatment and support for clients who present with Identity/Esteem concerns, Gaming/Internet Fixation, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Conduct Disorders, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Intellectual Disabilities. She is particularly interested in working with children and adolescents, and enjoys teaching effective behavioural management skills to primary caregivers, and teachers. Aimee has experience in administering psychometric assessments to determine the presence of Intellectual Disability, cognitive/intellectual deficit, and learning difficulties.

  • Working with young people and their parents/caregivers to assist in managing behaviour issues, anxiety and stressful situations

  • Therapeutic intervention for young people – particularly in the areas of building resilience, positive self-esteem, coping through family grief/separation, and encouraging the development of appropriate social skills and coping skills

  • Utilisation of evidence-based interventions (and adapted appropriately according to client presentation): BT, ACT, DBT, Psych-education
